FAQs

  • Step 1 — Pre-shoot planning & location review

    • Client questionnaire: collect names, preferred looks, and any locations ideas.

    • Location review: inspect (or request photos/video of) the site — parking, light quality, background options, noise, access. Recommend best time of day and backup spots.

    • Client checklist sent: wardrobe dos/don’ts, arrival times, grooming tips, and contact person on site.

    Step 2 — Day of shoot

    • Early setup & location testing: we arrive early to set up and run test exposures.

    • Individual captures: photograph each person separately with identical lighting and framing to ensure seamless compositing. For each subject we capture: posed, candid, smile, neutral, and a couple of creative variants.

    Step 3 — Editing & final delivery

    • Proof gallery: we select the best frames and share a proof gallery for you to review.

    • Retouching: color correction, cleanup, and detailed retouching per selected images.

    • Compositing: assemble the individual portraits into the unified final piece.

    • Final exports: deliver online high-resolution print file. Optional printing & framing services are available.

  • Prices start at $1,250 USD (intro price) for families or groups of 6 or less, $200 USD for each additional person. But no two stories are the same – and neither are the final quotes. 50% Deposit required to reserve booking. Reach out to me directly with any questions, scott@scottwade.com

  • Absolutely—it’s your choice, since these images are your memories to cherish. If you already have a meaningful spot for your family, we can shoot there. If not, I’ll suggest locations that look beautiful during the given season, or I can even make the decision for you if you’d rather keep it simple.
